Since 2013 the application for registrar jobs has been a national process (i.e. one application for the whole country) which is run by the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery. The application window opens once per year over the last few weeks of February and is done online via the Oriel Recruitment portal.
Following this each deanery releases the number of jobs they have available each year (which varies considerably and is often not confirmed until the last minute). Applicants then have to rank all the jobs in order of preference. For more information see Competition Rates.
